The purpose of this Customer Privacy Policy is to give you a clear and transparent overview of the data we collect, how it is used and the rights you have concerning it

1 – List of personal data collected

a. Personal data collected during registration

Contact information required for your service:

– Company to which your account is linked, if applicable,
– Payment information : When you register or make your first trip, you provide us with your credit card details. This data is processed and stored exclusively by our payment service provider, and we have no access to it.

b. Personal data collected when using the service

– Date and time of reservation,
– Reservation channel on the website,
– Address, date and time of departure,
– Arrival address,
– Flight or train number if given at time of booking,
– Driver and vehicle assigned,
– Name, email and phone number of passenger,
– Any comments made by the customer before or after the trip,

c. Personal data collected when you browse the site

– Date, time, pages visited, interactions and time spent on the website,

Paris Ride is committed to practicing a reasoned use of your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Here are the personal data that are used for each of the processing operations and the framework in which we collect them (legal basis):

Example: booking a trip, assigning a driver, processing a claim.

3 –  Sharing your personal data

We will not share your personal information except:

When we need to apply the conditions of use or policies we ask customers to accept; Paris Ride uses technical partners to carry out certain processing (payment service provider, email sending service provider, …). Paris Ride and its drivers have incorporated into their contractual relations an agreement on their respective obligations for the purposes of ensuring compliance with the requirements of the RGPD and the Data Protection Act. All of these partners have undertaken to comply with the obligations relating to the RGPD and we are particularly vigilant on this subject.

When we need to protect the security, rights and property of our customers or thirdparty partners.

When we need to satisfy legal processes or if disclosure of data is required by law.

If a merger, acquisition or sale of assets means that we have to share information with a third party, we will inform you in advance and you will not object, in accordance with the applicable legislation.

To personalize online advertising: advertising profiling on third-party sites. Paris Ride does not transmit any data that could directly identify you. Only technical identifiers and socio demographic data may be shared for audience identification purposes. You can refuse to allow your identification data to be used to create profiles by objecting to this on the platforms.

4 –  Data retention and deletion

In the event of inactivity on your part, and in particular if you no longer visit the site or respond to the e-mails we send you, your personal data will be automatically anonymized within a maximum period of 6 years after your last activity. You may request the deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to My Paris Ride : contact@parisride.com

In this case, we will anonymize the data so that you can no longer be identified, with the exception of cases where data will be retained for another legal basis, for example in the following situations:

  • Legitimate interests of Paris Ride (unresolved problem of nonpayment or dispute concerning you, fraud prevention, security)

5 – User rights and how to exercise them

Since May 25, 2018, the RGPD has given you new rights regarding your personal data. We have consequently added new features enabling you to exercise them. The following rights apply to the personal data collected about you by Paris Ride:

  • Right of access: you can ask us at any time to access the personal data we process;
  • Right of rectification: you can ask us to modify or update your personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • Right to be forgotten: you can ask us to permanently delete your personal data. In this case, we will anonymize your details so that we can no longer associate you with the journeys you have made. We will keep the anonymized journeys for statistical purposes;
  • Right to restriction: you can ask us to temporarily or permanently stop processing all or part of your personal data;
  • Right to object: you may refuse to allow your personal data to be processed at any time for personal reasons. For example, you can refuse to receive our newsletters by unsubscribing;
  • Right to data portability: you can request a copy of your personal data in electronic format. These data are yours: you can transmit them if you wish.
