The chauffeur transports the customer from the pickup location to the destination specified at the time of booking.

The customer may book an outbound journey and a return journey at the same time. The dates, times and pickup locations must be specified when booking.

Each journey constitutes a service arranged in accordance with the information provided in the booking confirmation.

The chauffeur may contact the passenger by telephone or WhatsApp to help arrange the meeting.

Depending on the service booked, the chauffeur will wait for the customer at the agreed meeting point with a personalised name sign.

The customer must ensure that they can be reached on the telephone number provided when booking on the day of the service.

06 Waiting Time

A reasonable waiting time may be included in certain services, particularly for airport and train station pickups.

The exact conditions applicable to waiting time may be specified when booking or in the order confirmation.

If the customer is significantly delayed for reasons unrelated to a flight or train delay notified to Paris Ride, an additional charge may apply.

If the chauffeur is unable to contact the customer after the applicable waiting period has elapsed, the booking may be treated as a no-show.

07 Private Chauffeur Hire

Paris Ride offers a private chauffeur hire service, allowing the customer to have a vehicle and chauffeur at their disposal for a specified period.

The minimum booking duration is 3 hours.

The vehicle categories available for this service are:

08 Long-Distance Journeys

Paris Ride offers long-distance journeys to and from Paris, serving various destinations in France and, subject to acceptance, in Europe.

In the event of exceptional unavailability, Paris Ride may provide a vehicle of an equivalent or higher category without reducing the quality of the service.

11 Luggage

The customer must select a vehicle suitable for the number of passengers and the amount of luggage to be carried.

Unusually bulky luggage, sports equipment, multiple pushchairs, wheelchairs or other special items must be declared before the service.

Paris Ride may refuse to carry an item if its dimensions, weight, nature or condition pose a risk to passengers, the chauffeur or the vehicle.

12 Prices

The applicable prices are those indicated at the time of booking or stated in the quotation accepted by the customer.

Unless otherwise stated, prices displayed to consumers are expressed in euros and include all taxes.

  • parking charges;
  • special service times;
  • additional services and optional extras.

Any substantial change requested by the customer after confirmation may result in a price adjustment.

13 Payment and Deposit

For bookings made on the website, Paris Ride may require a deposit of 30% at the time of booking.

The remaining balance is payable in accordance with the arrangements specified when placing the order or in the booking confirmation.

Depending on the type of service, Paris Ride may also require full payment before the service is provided.

Available payment methods may include:

  • Visa;
  • Mastercard;
  • American Express;
  • Apple Pay;

Optional extras must be booked sufficiently in advance and remain subject to availability.

15 Booking Changes

Any request to change a booking must be communicated to Paris Ride as soon as possible.

A change relating to any of the following:

  • date;
  • time;
  • pickup location;
  • destination;
  • number of passengers;
  • vehicle category;
  • or itinerary,

remains subject to availability.

If the change increases the cost of the service, Paris Ride will inform the customer of the additional amount payable.

16 Cancellation by the Customer

Unless specific conditions are stated in the quotation or booking:

More than 48 hours before pickup: cancellation free of charge or a refund of the amounts paid, subject to any non-recoverable costs expressly accepted when placing the order.

Between 24 and 48 hours before pickup: Paris Ride may retain all or part of the deposit paid.

Less than 24 hours before pickup: the service may be charged in full.

No-show: if the passenger is absent from the meeting point without prior notice and the applicable waiting time has elapsed, the service may be considered performed and charged in full.

Specific cancellation conditions may apply to bookings involving multiple vehicles, events, long-distance services, chauffeur hire, large groups or services covered by a specific quotation. These conditions will be communicated before the order is confirmed.

17 Cancellation or Inability to Provide the Service by Paris Ride

In the event of force majeure, a breakdown, an accident, exceptional unavailability of the chauffeur or any other event preventing the normal provision of the service, Paris Ride will use its best efforts to offer an alternative solution.

This solution may include providing another chauffeur or a vehicle of an equivalent or higher category.

If no reasonable solution can be offered, the amounts relating to the service not provided will be refunded.

18 Delays and Traffic

Paris Ride makes all reasonable efforts to ensure that its services are punctual.

However, Paris Ride cannot guarantee a precise journey time where this depends on external events such as:

  • exceptional traffic congestion;
  • accidents;
  • demonstrations;
  • roadworks;
  • road closures;
  • weather conditions;
  • checks by the authorities;
  • public events;
  • strikes;
  • traffic restrictions;
  • force majeure events.

The customer must allow a sufficient time buffer to reach a flight, train, appointment or event.

19 Conduct On Board

The customer and passengers must respect the chauffeur, the vehicle and safety rules.

The following are prohibited:

  • smoking or vaping in the vehicle;
  • consuming prohibited substances;
  • deliberately damaging the vehicle;
  • behaving in a dangerous, violent, threatening or clearly inappropriate manner.

The chauffeur may stop the service if a passenger's behaviour compromises the safety of the vehicle, the chauffeur or other passengers.

Exceptional cleaning or repair costs resulting from a passenger's behaviour may be charged to the customer, with supporting documentation.

20 Subcontracting and Partner Drivers

To provide certain services, Paris Ride may use partner private-hire drivers (VTC) or transport companies selected according to its professional criteria.

Partners must hold the authorisations, insurance and documents required to carry out their activities.

Paris Ride takes care to select partners who meet its quality standards and can provide the vehicle category booked.

21 Business Customers, Agencies and Concierge Services

Paris Ride also offers its services to:

  • concierge services;
  • hotels;
  • event organisers;
  • tour operators;
  • inbound travel agencies;
  • other business customers.

Business rates, invoicing arrangements, commissions or white-label services may be agreed separately.

Unless otherwise instructed by the partner, Paris Ride undertakes not to disclose to the end passenger the pricing terms negotiated between Paris Ride and the partner agency or business.

This pricing confidentiality does not apply when the end customer directly searches for information, requests a quotation or makes a booking with Paris Ride, including through the Paris Ride website.

In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a business contract or quotation accepted by the parties, the specific provisions of the contract or quotation shall prevail.

22 Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for:

  • the information provided when booking;
  • being at the agreed meeting place at the agreed time;
  • the behaviour of the passengers for whom they make the booking;
  • selecting a vehicle category suitable for the number of passengers and the amount of luggage;
  • compliance with safety rules.

When a booking is made on behalf of a third party, the customer undertakes to provide the passenger with the information necessary for the proper provision of the service.

23 Personal Belongings

The customer is responsible for their personal belongings.

At the end of the service, the customer must check that no items have been left in the vehicle.

If an item is found, Paris Ride will use its best efforts to arrange its return. Any shipping or travel costs required to return the item may be charged to the customer.

24 Right of Withdrawal

Any rights the consumer may have are determined in accordance with the provisions of the French Consumer Code and the precise nature of the service booked.

Where the service is booked for a specific date or period and falls within a statutory exception to the right of withdrawal, the customer is informed when placing the order.

In all circumstances, mandatory legal provisions applicable to consumers shall prevail over any conflicting provision of these Terms.

  • booking number;
  • date of the service;

Detailed information on the processing of personal data is provided in the Privacy Policy available on the Paris Ride website.

27 Force Majeure

Paris Ride shall not be held liable for any failure to perform or delay resulting from an event beyond its reasonable control that meets the legal criteria for force majeure.

Paris Ride will inform the customer as soon as possible and, where reasonably possible, seek an alternative solution.

28 Intellectual Property

The Paris Ride name, texts, logos, photographs, graphic elements and content displayed on the website are protected by applicable intellectual property rules.

Any unauthorised reproduction or use is prohibited.

29 Governing Law

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable resolution.

For consumers, mandatory rules relating to jurisdiction remain applicable.

For business customers, a specific jurisdiction clause may be included in the contract or applicable commercial terms, within the limits permitted by law.

30 Acceptance of the Terms

Before completing an online booking, the customer must be able to read these General Terms and Conditions of Sale and accept them.

Confirmation of the order constitutes acceptance of the Terms applicable on the date of booking.

Paris Ride reserves the right to amend these Terms. The conditions applicable to a booking remain those accepted by the customer at the time of that booking.
